How to select the HDD to run from a CD

When I run PFF from a CD it copies itself to a HDD and runs from there.
How do I select which drive it runs from?

The problem is that when undeleteing the local C drive and using PFF to view HTML help files etc on the bootable CD, I do not want PFF to install itself onto C drive and possibly overwrite deleted files.
I want it to use either B: ramdrive or E: USB HDD.

You don't

It uses the Windows %TEMP% directory. Whatever that variable is set to is where it winds up on a given system. And you shouldn't be running anything at all on a PC where you have files you want to undelete.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks John, The PC is

Thanks John,

The PC is booted from a CD and runs Windows from the CD and the undelete also runs from the CD. Also disk imageing and restore is run from the CD so the C drive can be locked for imaging. As I understand it nothing is written to C drive, it's all done in RAM.

I assume Win temp is in RAM and so probably FF is already running in RAM.
I'll start FF and have a look in the C drive Win temp and also in the ram drive.
I bet FF is in RAM so I won't have to change anything.
