Hi portable apps forumers,
If there's a subscription forum/paid online course and I would like to setup such that user 1 from laptop 1 from location 1 and user 2 from laptop 2 from location 2 is able to access/login simultaneously without interruption.
How can I achieve that?
At the moment, when user 1 login and the next min user 2 login, user 1 will be auto log out.
Pls advise. Thanks.
If they each have a separate copy of Firefox Portable, then they are just the same as two separate Firefox local installs and will work without issue.
If you're running them both off the same network drive, Firefox Portable is not meant for that.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. Right now I have this problem.
There's a membership site which I share with my cousin but the site I believe has some coding or plugins in place to prevent multiple logins from 2 places to the site using the same account credentials.
Say for example my cousin login at his house and successfully login.
When I try to login to the site from my house with the same username and password, I will be able to successfully login. However, this will terminate my cousin session, and if he clicks on any link in the his browser window will take him to the login page.
Do you have a way/method to go around this problem?
I heard of someone who is able to use portable firefox to solve this problem but he ain't sharing it,that's why I am seeking help online.
Hope someone is able to help. Thanks.
Further to what John said - although the users will be seen as separate, if what you are wanting to have is allow them to login as the same account, you'd need to have that capability in the forum software, and most specifically disallow being logged in at the same time in two locations under the same account.
