PuTTY: Extended ASCII?

does Putty support extended ASCII? if it does, does it need to be enabled or something?

edit

well, i got something to work by setting the translation to CP437, don't know if thats how it was meant to be done, but at least it seems to work at least

Edit 2

for some reason it doesn't save the above change, so i have to switch it every time i start a new session...any ideas?

I'm fairly sure that

John had a fix for that issue of not saving settings. I think it was to do with Vista's authentication system.
