I have just downloaded the latest build of Foxit2 - build 1414 zip version. It would seem that this version is portable - but i'm not technical enough to be sure and was wondering if someone would like to comment.
Thought this was worth posting as a number of members are interested in a portable PDF but previous versions were not totally portable.
I don't think so. You need the wrapper from otbsoft (here). Paste the foxit exe in the App/Foxit directory. It should be named FoxitReader.exe.
Note: if the link above doesn't work you can get it from sourceforge.

SumatraPDF
best PDF reader I know. Even better then FoxitReader. Very small, tiny, fast and it`s open source.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it once before but that version didn't work. This does and is fine. But it still crashed perhaps when reading to the registry?
I have to admit that i like the way Foxit can be customised to just pulldown menu only leaving an almost fullscreen. One even gets rid of the advert permanently after loading about ten files [i wonder if they know that!].
I use alot of education pdfs which are large - the only negative i've found is that Foxit doesn't seem to show maths symbols very well. Obviously some character symbols aren't present like they are in Acrobat.
Anyone have any suggestions? There are language character downloads but not anything that looked likely for maths that i could see.
Great it works fine. Perhaps you could explain to me what the launcher is - and how it works. It seems to be better now for viewing pdfs in internet explorer but not so good in Firefox. Why should that be?
thanks
