I have never been able to get Chrome work inside portableapps. It always crashes with this error:
Google Chrome has stopped working
Fault module name : ntdll.dll
I could post a screenshot but I do not see a way to do that.
Note that I am running portable apps from a network drive on a server.
All the other apps I have installed in there work fine, like firefox etc
I am able to update apps in portableapps also, without any problem.
Any solution?
It's likely due to it running from a network drive. Try copying the directory local and seeing if it works.
Remember that Chrome only just barely runs portable with a huge list of caveats. Due to its design, it's a bit of a mess.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thanks John, that idea worked!
But I really wish it would run off a network drive
