Why did you decided to shitware?

I registrated here for one time statement. Today I wanted to start an update for Google Chrome portable from portable apps plattform.
IT FAILED!

The I looked for downloading Google Chrome portable manualy. I lerned that there is an online installer ONLY.
I gave it a try. IT FAILED!

I kept looking for a full offline instraller - NOPE!!! -> your decision -> my reason to deploy paps into garbage!

What do you think you are doing, when your "portable" app try to acces to my system partion C:\ even to use a temp folder in "All Users"?
When I am in internet no shitware has access to my partition C:\ - never! Except some Paths of the active "internet"- User. Because I use an restricted account. What sense make it, to use admin rights to intstall a portable app???
I will not grant admin rights for any shitware to install. What a bummer, you decided to turn to shitware (maleware?).

So goodby and happy controlling users and collecting data from the user. (Are you bought by Facebook?)

That Would Be Illegal, Set Custom Temp, Forum Guidelines

Repackaging Google Chrome into a new package would be illegal. Every package online you see of a 'portable' version of Google Chrome that includes the Chrome binaries within is packaged illegally and very likely includes some malware to boot (developers who are unconcerned with the legality of the software they package are often unconcerned about the ethics of including badware with it).

Most portable software uses your TEMP directory in some fashion. You can set a TEMP directory to be used by the PortableApps.com Platform and the associated apps so it won't use TEMP on your C drive by following the instructions here: https://portableapps.com/support/platform#advanced

PortableApps.com doesn't collect data form users with the Google Chrome installer's live download. It's required not to violate the Chrome EULA and the download of Chrome takes place from Google's servers, not from ours. If you are concerned about collection of data, you may wish to consider your use of Chrome as well.

Lastly, please refrain from swearing and abusive tone on this site. It is a violation of our forum guidelines: https://portableapps.com/forums/guidelines

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
