Hi everyone,
I checked this issue in the forum sections but I didn't fine anything (I beg the moderator to move or redirect this thread if t's already discussed); I would like to have on a USB both PortableApps for Win and Mac, in order to launch the related one from its operating system.
So , I would like to have on the USB stick a win folder (with the PA for Windows) and a mac folder (with the PA for MacOS), BUT with configuration files in common (not only the document or music folder).
Of course I can perform an installation for win, switch to mac, and install again but in this case I'll have two configurations.
There is a way to do so ?
Otherwise can I change the default path folders, in order to set the same one for both installations ?
Thanks in advance

Dual PortableApps (Win + Mac) in a USB stick
How do you propose to run PortableApps on Mac OS X when the Platform software and all apps available here are native Windows only? There are only two ways I'm aware of:
a) through a Dual Boot System or Virtual Windows Machine, which can't therefore run Mac software; or
b) via a WINE installation of PortableApps, which isn't portable, because you would need to install WINE on the Mac, and all WINE apps leave data traces in various user folders.
Also interested to know what truly 'portable' Mac OSX apps you are aware of as I only know of one.

but I doubt that one can use same configuration files for both.
I would install all separately.

Like all Mac portable app efforts I'm aware of, Freesmug abandoned theirs some time ago. There's not much call for them as MacOS will likely be going exclusively app store by default within the next few versions (advanced users will be able to disable this the same way they had to disable the restrictions for Apple-signed apps today to run portable apps).

Sorry guys,
I didn't realize the Windows support only ... I just read Mac and Linux compatibility but I didn't read carefully ... Forget the question
It does work on Mac but via either Crossover or Wine. Same as it does on Linux. The important apps like Firefox will run quite nicely. And, unlike the discontinued portable native Mac apps mentioned above, your passwords and such will be self-contained and not wind up in the Keychain on the local machine (something you generally don't want with portable software).
