Application: TidyTabs
Category: Utilities
Description: TidyTabs is a tool that brings tabbed browsing to all of your programs. Ever wanted to have Chrome-style tabs in Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office or PuTTY? TidyTabs does just that. It integrates nicely with the OS and you will feel like the multi-tab functionality is a core part of Windows. Works great alongside AquaSnap Portable.

I was looking into releasing this, but it fails to start on my Windows 10 Pro x64 system. When run from the launcher, nothing happens. When run directly (the daemon), it launches properly. I also tried resetting the settings to the defaults to no effect.

However I have an easy fix I will upload, from the author
It appears to be ui issue
The good news is that there is now a simpler solution: you can run AquaSnap and TidyTabs with the following commands:
AquaSnap.UipiAgent.exe start
TidyTabs.UipiAgent.exe start
Indeed, the *.UipiAgent.exe files don't have the UIAccess flag and can be used to indirectly launch the *.Daemon.exe files.
I will upload a new version later today with changes.
(Odd note I can not replicate what everyone else sees. )

The update is working as expected on a quick test.

I updated the launcher to remove the custom override code and use the method Gregory suggested. As well as update the help files, icon, etc.

The updater may not be needed as the default config files are preset to not auto update those were from Grogory

This app. need Win 7 and above and dot Net 4.0.
I haven't used it yet, but it appears we inadvertently released our first .Net app...
It ran ok on my vm Win7 Totally forgot about Dot Net. Gord me and you and John need to discuss?

Barring any objections, I'm going to remove it from our directory with an announcement. We're going to be doing .NET shortly, but only 'universal .net apps' first that work on .NET 2.0/3.5/4.x so they run on Vista and up by default. .NET 4.0 is available on XP/Vista/7 but it must be manually installed by an admin, it is not automatically updated to. So, this app isn't a Windows 7 and up app. It's a Windows 8 and up app with Windows 7 users needing to manually install .NET 4.x. As such, it isn't something we would have allowed.
Any other thoughts?

Totally missed that on the clean VM as apparently it updated the .dot net and was not aware.
FYI
From Publisher
My bad, I forgot to mention that TidyTabs is using DotNet for the GUI part (TidyTabs.Gui.exe). I didn't realized that it could be an issue, but you are right, it can be an issue for some of your users. Is it your first DotNet app?
Actually, TidyTabs is using DotNet 4.5, which is installed by default on Win8 and Win10, and is pushed over Windows Update on Win7.
The problem is that DotNet/WPF is currently the only viable solution to develop "per monitor DPI aware" user interfaces for Win8.1 and Win10, but if you need to unpublish TidyTabs because of this I would perfectly understand. And if there is anything I can do to help you to handle DotNet apps in PortableApps, just let me know.
Also a side note We have worked around AquaSnap to also work in the way TidyTabs does so have updated and no longer need for the custom coding. Will send later on today as putting on DropBox
Again to everyone involved this is totally my fault as I missed the .net I humbly apologize.

It is only pushed to Windows 7 users if they have recommended updates enabled in addition to critical which is not the default. Hence why it's an issue.

I agree with you sorry I meesed it up.

I did not make it require 7 sorry about that. Will update to have OS checking.
