Error sending mail

Can anyone please help me?
I have just purchased a Sandisk Cruzer Titanium USB Flash drive with U3.
I am using TBP with the Webmail extension.
My Hotmail inbox downloads without problem, and I can receive new emails. However, I cannot send new emails; I get the following message "An error sending mail. Unable to connect to SMTP server smpt.hotmail.com"
My smtp settings are:
Description: HOTMAIL
Server name: smtp.hotmail.com
Port: 25 (I have tried numerous others)
User Name: myname@hotmail.com
Secure Connection: TLS (if available)
The Webmail settings are as outlined in their setup tutorial.

Can anyone here send email via Hotmail? if so can you please advise me of the correct settings
Many thanks

You kow

that instead of "myname@hotmail.com" you have to put your own email address in?

You Kow

Thanks for responding.

Yes I put in my usual email address

I have also 'pinged' telnet on port 25 and received an 'Hello' reply

Try

setting your server name to "localhost" as stated here.

Thanks once again for responding.

Yes I have tried this, but still cannot send. The incoming email side works perfectly, and I even get the popup window when a new email hits my in box.

There must be hundreds of people using Hotmail/MTP/Webmail, but I can't find the settings that work for me anywhere.

I've cracked it!
Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I have discovered that the 'Account Settings' in the tool bar, and the 'Account Settings' on the opening welcome page carried different 'Outgoing' settings.
I have changed both of them to localhost and I can now receive and send emails.

Thanks again.
