I tried several times in the past with version 1.35, but could not get it portable...even with Portable Application Template 1.4.1. There is some installer magic involved.
By the way, PowerBullet is not Open Sourced so the people on this forum would not normally even try.
- Shame we need a good portable open source flash generator
I saw a post on their forum from the author requesting volunteers to make the project Open Source http://flashcooker.com/?q=tracker
It was an old post though and after I visited it a couple of times I got a server error?
others cannot see the post on their forum - I finally got it back again, it is dated 2005!

Call for volunteers. I'd like to release the Powerbullet project as Open Source, in case anyone wants to further develop it.
Any libraries used in Powerbullet, such as SWFSource and Magick++ are themselves Open Source.
All other code has been written by Mark H Carolan (me). It is a Visual C++ 6 project. There are some problems running it when compiled with VC++ 7.1, apparently due to problems with the Windows Template Library and ATL incompatibilities. The "front end" to the application could easily be rewritten in MFC or any other GUI library, since the core functionality is in an ATL COM module. In fact it could be redone in anything that can talk to a COM module, such as Delphi.
Please register your interest via this site (such as in comments).
NOTE ON OPEN SOURCE CONDITIONS:
The Open Source license will allow you do do anything you like with the code, including creating commercial products. The only condition is that your business must have no affiliation with Harry M Hayes. Of course if your business does involve Harry Hayes, then either you are the notorious Harry M Hayes Jr himself or you are in business with him. If you are the latter I strongly urge you to reconsider your position. There are legal issues that have not yet reached a conclusion.

And he would like to make it Open Source, but he doesn't have a copy of the original code in Visual C ++ 6. He has a copy of a version of his code, but it doesn't compile or some such thing.
Anybody out there able to help him, maybe with a decompiler or disassembler for Visual C++ 6? Even if you can't get a perfect decompilation, it could help him repair the code he has or rewrite it...
I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.
