We've learned that Patrick aka vf2nsr is in the hospital and very sick. Patrick has been a volunteer developer and application packager here for years and has always been dedicated to helping the community. Please keep Patrick and his family in your thoughts and your prayers. Thank you.
UPDATE (Oct 25): Patrick will be undergoing surgery at 7am Eastern (NY) time on October 26th. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers especially during this time.
UPDATE (Oct 26): Patrick's surgery ended at 2pm. If he makes it through the next few days, he will have a long road of recovery ahead. Please continue keeping in your thoughts/prayers.

I've worked with Patrick on a number of apps, and have enjoyed my interactions with him. I'm hopeful we hear good news in due time.

No English, so I'm not sure what to say. I'm with him.
Some believe it is beneficial to target thoughts and prayers to where the person is. Do we know the town and hospital and can it be made public?
While I understand the desire to do so, at this point I'm going to keep those particular details private out of respect for Patrick and his family.
I will absolutely pray for his recovery and for God to help strengthen his family and friends at this difficult time.

It saddens me to say that our friend & colleague, Patrick "vf2nsr" Powell, passed away earlier today in the presence of his family. He will be missed by all of us here at PortableApps.com.
