Did Verbatim steal PortableApps.com Suite?

No, that's Ceedo aka Lexar PowerToGo. A closed-source solution that uses unoptimized apps along with partial virtualization and configuration data. It's usually 30 bucks on its own, plus 10 for backup, plus another 30 if you want to install apps outside of their directory. I think the Verbatim drive includes the first piece.
