I was wondering if there are plans to upgrade the discontinued PDF-XChange Viewer with it's the free replacement: PDF-XChange Editor?

I have been using the PDF-XChange Viewer for years (installed, not PortableApps version).
I know that the official line is that it is discontinued and replaced by the Editor, but I have refused to follow that line and keep the Viewer.
It is still perfectly possible to download and install the Viewer; I prefer it. In addition, since well after the official discontinuation, I have received a number of updates to the Viewer, via the publisher's updater.
My conclusion is that they are keeping it alive; there may be no urgency to replace it.
