how does one go back to 52.0.1 after an auto-update to 53? have a major problem with 53, need to go back for a while and wait untill they sort it out. where do i find a 52-PAF file? or is there any other way?
tks john, worked fine, got the ESR release, and am back to 'normal'.
i have little choice but to be careful where i surf and what i do, but i am
using an addon (lazarus) that is vital for what i do and how - and have
found no good alternatives. but supposedly somebody is working on it ...
strange enough, lazarus works under CHROME, any version, 90%.
It was an incompatibility with Startup Master, which throws up a password box before it will let FF start.
I disabled SM before installing 53, then it started ok, I updated my add-ons - including SM - and restarted, enabled SM and all is good.

You can download the 52.1.0 release here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/Mozilla%20Firefox%2C...
Note that using it on public sites is not recommended as it has known security issues, as do all releases prior to 53.0.2 (or the ESR branch): https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox/#fi...
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
