portable desktop / file association / shell / BBClean alternative?

I don`t mean blackbox or all those app launchers. Is there a "real" portable desktop?

Compress?

Can't you just compress it?

Depends...

Can you give us the tadliest bit of more info to know whatcha mean by that?

(Obviously there's various flavors of Live Linux that will give you a full desktop, but unless you use QEMU, you can't run 'em under Windows. So, one presumes you are talking about something else, eh?...)

Oh, and CK?:

What are you talking about RE: compression?...
Not grasping the meaning of your question, as it relates to the original post. Plz advise.

Thx.

Compress? Hu?

Compress? Hu?

With portable desktop I don`t mean a hole operating system. I mean "just a desktop" ( windows xp desktop http://www.guidebookgallery.org/pics/gui/desktop/empty/winxppro.png ). The shortcuts, backround picture, icons, personalized skins, themes, clock, start menu, tray icons, file association.... (like bart pe has it`s own start button and own shell)

I could say a portable explorer/shell (the windows standard gui when you fresh installed windows) not start -> execute -> explorer)I.

Well, you see I have a hard time to describe it in english. But I guess now you can imagine what I mean. Smile

Just a copy of the standard xp shell as portable version would be just fine.
