Does anyone know if they compressed it using 7-Zip and UPX? It is a good broswer, but it is quite large at around 22MB.

Not sure my opinion on Flock. Seems an unnecessary fork of Firefox to me. Especially when you can get most of the features in Flock by just installing the Performancing extension in Firefox (Works fine in Portable Firefox, too) and not be cut off from all the great Firefox extensions since Flock doesn't use Firefox extensions (they need to be converted and, in some cases, rewritten)
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Flock gives me nothing I really need that Firefox doesn't.

Flock is just built off of the same platform (much like Firefox used to be built off of Seamonkey)
And most extensions can be converted online without a hitch
PocketFlock is larger is for two reasons
1) I didn't bother to compress anything yet
2) PocketFlock is bundled with useful extensions for portable browsing or for the Flock browser in general (proxy management, profile password, FireFTP, a Firefox extension converter, ...)
...and PocketFlock (unlike it's non-Portable parent) even supports importing (and using) Firefox bookmarks to make the migration to Favorites easier.
The reason the Flock team doesn't use normal Firefox extensions is because there are enough changes under the hood to ensure that improper extensions will cause problems (issues with bookmarks and sometimes the topbar) it's really about quality control.
PocketFlock isn't about saving space, it's about conveniance, and being able to have a portable browser with most of the commonly needed tools already available.
I did try the portable one, it has a cool interface, and the blog posting helps me, but you should really compress everything.

Went from 20 Megs to about 15 when uncompressed and from about 10.3 to 9.3 while compressed
Compression just hasn't been much of an issue since I'm using 'hourly' flock builds at it's core.
It's a fork of the Firefox code. It's a derived work being developed independently of the main Firefox project. The Flock developers are saying they're trying to stay as close to the Mozilla codebase as possible while it evolves. So it won't be a fully divergent fork. But it's still a fork. A rose by any other name...
