I write to inquire if one can install windows apps other than the default apps shown on this website. I would want to install some windows developer apps to a USB. Seeking an informed opinion.

You can add apps that aren't in PA.c Format to the platform just by placing them in a specific location:
https://portableapps.com/support/platform#addingotherapps
As for apps that aren't portable yet, you'd need to make them portable first. Dev-wise, the PA.c Launcher can help with that, but it's not as simple to use as it could be.
