tool for secure deleting / file restoring

There are serveral open source tools for file wping. A good list is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_wiping. I don`t know which programm is reviewed as beeing secure. But to have a good one as portable would be nice.

I don`t know any open source tools for file undelete, but sometimes this could be helpful aswell.

Eraser

Eraser is an open source program that does what you want. Or you can also try this other program if you like, but it's not OSS.

That`s what I mean. Some of this programms should be in the portable apps suite. I don`t hate freeware in general, but for things like encryption or file wiping it`s better to use oss and I am requesting some portable one.
