Include standalon apps into the platform without reinstalling??

Hi,

I installed some apps as standalone and recently installed the PortableApps platform thinking it would autodetect the installed apps so that I could update etc. But is there a way to include them into the Platform, or is the only way to delete them all and then reinstall from scratch??.

If you move your standalone apps to a specific location alongside the platform, it will automatically show them. It's laid out here: https://portableapps.com/support/platform#addingotherapps

Standalone apps not being detected

Hello,
I have followed the instructions on this link https://portableapps.com/support/platform#addingotherapps however the platform does not detect my app. As an example, I am trying to add an app called Caffeine. I create directory E:\PortableApps\Caffeine and copy my exe file Caffeine.exe into it. I then selects Apps -> Refresh app icons but Caffeine not appear in the list. The strange think is that it has somehow added some of my other standalone apps like Notapad++. I will appreciate if I could get some help to troubleshoot this.

Platform Location

Is Start.exe in the E:\ drive and the platform at E:\PortableApps\PortableApps.com\PortableAppsPlatform.exe?

Anything Hidden?

Did you previously hide any EXEs? You can show hidden apps by right-clicking and selecting Show Hidden Apps.

Now trying to re-install with bare minimum

No, nothing hidden. I will now try to backup my apps, clean up the USB drive and re-install the bare minimum and see whether the issue persists. Will report on the outcome.

It works after re-install

Not sure what was wrong. Perhaps something in my setup. Thanks anyway.
