Hi,
Silly NuB question here - I've just had a 1Gb drive, and downloaded and installed the 'standard' portable apps install (I also tried the 'barebones' version too).
I click on the 'StartPortableApps.exe' icon - I get the hour glass and then.... nothing....?
I'm probably doing something silly here - can someone tell me what it is?
I'm running Win2k server - and just in case its relevant, Sophos (yak - works machine).

The only thing that happens is that an Icon appears in the taskbar.
If you click on it, the menu pops up.

Thanks for that - but I get no icon - when I start the program, I get a 'blip' like something's trying to put an icon in there, and immediately it disappears...- strange?
Any thoughts on diagnosis?

Been trying this - I can get the menu icon to appear on a XP machine, but the same drive on my win2k machine doesn't show the menu icon. I'm guessing I'm suffering from 'DLL hell'?
