NewbieAlert: Can't install Portable App Suite (standard)

Sorry to bother the group. I've read support page and tried to read as much of this forum as possible.

Having trouble installing the Portable App Suite (standard edition).

I did the following:

1. Downloaded App from this site to SanDisk Cruzer U3 (4GB) with Del Latitude to
the stick directory: Documents/download.

2. Cruzer U3 system mounted as G: drive; Removable Disk partition as H:

3. Clicked on PortableApps_Suite_Standard_1.0.exe file

4. Installer suggested install on root. Navigated to G:\

5. Alert box thrown asking if wanted to replace G:\Autorun.inf with Autorun.inf
(I tried twice once saying 'yes'; once saying 'no'

6. After a few minutes Alert box thrown saying: 7-Zip: Diagnostic messages
(containing a very long list of items such as
"0 can not open output file G:\PortableApps\ThunderbirdPortable\
App\thunderbird\autoreg")

THEN ALL BECOMES QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT

What have I done wrong? I'm sorry to be a bother. Thanks.

I think

you are installing it on the "read-only" portion of your drive. Try installing it on your "H:\" drive. Or if you want to replace the U3 launcher, search these forums, there's a tutorial.

Wrong Drive

Try installing it to the removable disk partition, because the U3 System Drive is a Read Only Partition.
