license question

I have read a few licenses but kind of missing the info that I want. I would like to distribute my apps free for anyone to use. (eg. users can make copies and re distribute it also make portable versions of it etc. but not sell also I don't want to share my source code.) What is the best license for that? free but closed source.

Varies

While open source software has a number of standardized licenses that have been well-vetted from a publisher, user, and legal perspective, freeware is much more everyone for themselves. I do not have the knowledge to advise specifically. Some have advised using a Creative Commons by-nc-nd license, but I recall CC advising against using their licenses for software.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks for the reply. I want

Thanks for the reply. I want to release my 3 apps here without breaking the rules. They are free apps that help a paf developer create the ini files. (appinfo, installer and launcher). they are standalone exes but I don't have time to make a paf of them. I think they would be helpful here but I think the rules do not allow posting links to your own products. I asked about the license because I wanted to release it with a license that would allow someone else to make paf versions of them.
