I downloaded the help files package from GIMP to install into my portable App but i dont know where to install them to. any help would be appreciated.

Found the answer...
install into a folder of GimpPortable\App\gimp\share\gimp\2.0\help\en and it seems to work, don't forget to set it up in preferences.
