Permanent changes to the host computer are not permitted. The only exception is user-initiated changes that are supposed to do this. For example, cleaning a piece of malware (as Emsisoft might do), removing invalid registry entries (CCleaner might do that), inoculating against certain badware (Spybot has this as a feature), etc.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
John,
thank you. I was asking because I read somewhere that Emsisoft ( probably from their own wesbite ) adds drivers to the computer. From what you are saying then the download from PortableApps i stealth and does not add drivers?
thanks for your help
The package of EEK within EEK Portable is a special build from the publisher that does not include the drivers. This coupled with the launcher which removes the registry keys allows it to be fully portable.
