StaxRip

Specific Software & Hardware Requirements to run this software:

- Windows 7 x64 or Windows 10 x64, StaxRip is x64 only
- .NET 4.7
- Intel Skylake or newer for HEVC/H.265 hardware encoding
- NVIDIA Maxwell gen2 card or newer for HEVC/H.265 hardware encoding
- AMD Polaris card or newer for HEVC/H.265 hardware encoding
- AviSynth+ x64, the installer is bundled with StaxRip or alternativly VapourSynth which requires Python

(See StaxRip website for further info.)

Sorry if this appears negative, but the system demands to run the software are so restrictive that I can't see much scope for success with such a request, i.e. a niche product with very demanding system requirements, which are probably not all immediately available to most PortableApps volunteer developers and software that is probably not likely to be officially released by the PortableApps 'Team' because of its restrictions (e.g. .Net 4.7, x64 only, specific hardware necessary) and a limited audience.

This is of course purely a personal view and someone may prove me wrong, but you would need a volunteer Developer with:

- a Hardware/Software setup that meets the stated minimum requirements; and preferably
- someone with specific knowledge/experience of such software.

You could, of course, follow the PortableApps development guidance and DIY; seeking further help if you meet specific issues/problems.

Not Really Accurate

The following items:

- Intel Skylake or newer for HEVC/H.265 hardware encoding
- NVIDIA Maxwell gen2 card or newer for HEVC/H.265 hardware encoding
- AMD Polaris card or newer for HEVC/H.265 hardware encoding

Holds for any video transcoding software as those reflects the hardware capabilities of the manufactures.
For instance it holds for VLC / AviDemux which are already available on PortableApps as well.
It doesn't mean you need them to use H.265 as there is always a software fall back.

The last item:
- AviSynth+ x64, the installer is bundled with StaxRip or alternativly VapourSynth which requires Python

Is non issues as it is bundled with StaxRip.

The first issue:
- Windows 7 x64 or Windows 10 x64, StaxRip is x64 only

It holds but I'd say for most of the users it is OK as most of them use x64 based systems.

The:
- .NET 4.7

Is something that the site developers are working on but the policy isn't set yet.
