7-zip plugins (http://www.tc4shell.com/en/7zip/) require to create folders "Formats" and "Codecs" in \7-ZipPortable\App\7-Zip or \7-ZipPortable\App\7-Zip64 folders.
When updating 7-zip these folder will be deleted. Is it possible to make installer to preserve these folder
Unless I'm mistaken, these appear to be shell-based plugins, which 7-Zip Portable doesn't support.
They work fine without shell integration. They mainly add support to open and create different archive formats.
Thank you for the explanation! I had been pulling my hair out trying to have codecs from https://github.com/mcmilk/7-Zip-zstd work.
Since these are just DLLs, we'd have to manually preserve all of them in the installer config if I'm not mistaken.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Some plugins also have .ini files.
Sorry to make you do additional works.
I only use asar and WinCryptHashers plugins, and 7-zip is not updated frequently, so I don't mind if it's not implemented.
Where are the INI files located in a 7-Zip Portable install?

Thank you for reporting this issue!
Hopefully those additional codecs will be included in the main 7zip app.
