updating an app that isn't installed

i used to have jportable installed. i uninstalled it a long time ago. yet, occasionally, when i update my apps, it appears and updates. something must have gone wrong with the uninstaller. i have tried reinstalling and uninstalling.

perhaps related, but not a big deal to me (i mention it b/c it might be related), when i launch portableapps platform, all my shortcuts on my desktop disappears. when i close it again, they reappear. weird.

i installed the platform in the C:/ and am using windows 10.

Plugins Manually Uninstalled

You likely had jPortable and jPortable Launcher installed. jPortable Launcher is an app and you likely right-clicked on it and uninstalled it. jPortable is a CommonFiles plugin and can only be uninstalled manually at present. Explore to your X:\PortableApps\CommonFiles (or similar) directory and delete the Java directory within.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

You appear to have enabled the "Hide Desktop Icons" option, found in the platform's options dialog.
