I was thinking of paying the license fee to use those paid items of this software and was wondering if anyone else has tried this. I'm a little unsure if there were any issues moving a licensed version from machine to machine in a portable state on a thumbdrive.
According to the support site, the License information is saved in the registry.
PDF-XChange Editor Portable does not currently interact with the registry, so this information will not be handled when moving from machine to machine.
Hmm...Gord do you know if this means...
Take for example...I run portable apps from the hard drive on my home personal computer. Since the license information is stored in its registry...I would have the extended licensed features.
Now lets say...I now synchronize portable apps from my hard drive to a thumb drive...Would PDF-XChange Editor Portable not have the extended licensed features because the license information is not necessarily in the registry of the alternative host computer? Or would the software once registered understand it is licensed?
Thanks,
Marshall
this app should be renamed, since it is no editor. Editor-Features are available in paid version only, within the DEMO-version downloadable from here, the app will add annoying watermarks when trying to edit something,
