Fake Security

Password protection preventing you from launching an app or 'hiding' your portable app folders without actually encrypting them is fake security. The apps you find online to 'lock' folders nearly always use simple tricks to hide them from Windows Explorer but you can just open them up at the command prompt or within a third party file manager.

I may in the future incorporate a simple version of this into the platform but it will be clearly marked as security by obscurity and not actually secure. The only way to truly secure your files is to encrypt them either with software like VeraCrypt or a hardware-encrypted flash drive.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
