There was a long hiatus of many apps needed to be updated last year, and now it seems to be happening again. However, I understand about John's real life problems about his family health issue, and I hope and wish that all goes well for him and his family... after all, we DO have our own real life problems, don't we?

He and the team have done so much to provide us with many portable applications, and I truly love PortableApps.com because of its simplicity, usefulness, and portability/stealthiness. I never liked the idea of running installers that have a bad habit of tampering and messing around with the Windows' registry and the system files, and especially installing unwanted stuff without my attention, permission, and consent.

Now, regarding the apps badly needing updates, I can't complain... OK, I admit that I don't like waiting too long! But while I patiently wait, I manually update the apps myself inside the "App" folder (although this method may not work well on (or even break) some apps, I found no problems so far... at least with the apps that I use) and not worry about waiting until the apps are updated.

Anyway, let's give John T. Haller and the team a break, more time, and let them do their job. I know that waiting can be quite excruciating, but patience is a virtue.
