Who cares all we need is Notepad++ Portable (exists) or SciTE Portable (also exists) $40 seems a little steep for a text editor, maybe $5 would be reasonable.
The link you provided is for the EditPad Pro, which is NOT free. But the EditPad Lite, is and is ALSO portable.
