Hello,
I like the PortableApp Plattform and it would be handy if there is a search field in the "Portable App Directory" window. I mean the window which is opened when there are no apps installed.

A search field just above the window where the apps are displayed
No there isn't. Thats why I wrote in the "Portable App Directory" window and not in the apps menu.
It's this window:
