Hello all. I try to download and auto-install the flash extension that is supposed to work with my Firefox Portable, yet it is not available. Has anyone else noticed this?

If you mean that it doesn't show in the extension list, it's not supposed to.

Flash, along with Shockwave, QT, adobe, etc. are all considered to be plugins and not extensions. Plugins allow you to view content on pages like flash movies. Extensions allow your browser to do more and "extend" its ability. Such as I have the leetkey extension in my FFP. This extension allows me to transform text several ways and allows multiple writing styles. FF by default is English only with no transforming abilities.
I hope this helps in your confusion about plugins like flash versus extension like leetkey.

Friends, let me quote the text that is available in this page:
https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#plugins
Quote "# Flash Plugin - To install Flash, follow these steps:
1. Flash is available as an extension. Just click the link.
2. You'll probably see a yellow bar across the top of the browser (if not, skip to Step 5), on that bar, click Edit Options
3. In the popup window, click Allow to add PortableApps.com to your whitelist and then click close
4. Now try the link again
5. You'll see a popup asking if you would like to install, click OK after the countdown and follow along the prompts
"
Therefore, as far as Firefox Portable is concerned, it is obvious that i seek something that should be there.
Yes?
I just downloaded the file and it came down fine.
I did not try to install it as it an Evil product and could never understand why sites use it [or why people visit sites that use it]

The file is simply not there. It has not been for days.
Works for me.

I never got it to work, so I had to use the "geek" way.

I thnk maybe John got his terminology backwards on that. Flash is a plugin and not an extension. Besides... I never use that method for my flash installs on FFP. I install flash onto the machine and copy NPSWF32.dll into the directory it needs to be in and poof it works.
Looking at what you posted, you are indeed correct that in this instance alone it is re-packeged as a extension. It is still a plugin but for convenience it has been scripted as a extension.

1. Go to www.newgrounds.com
2. Find a game or movie
3. Realize that Flash really is installed
