I wsa just thinking would Windows Live Messenger and\or Xfire be a good portable app? i use them bot alot and when i go to net cafes they dont have those apps. So i cant use them cuz tht would require an install.... please think about it

Why not just use GAIM or Miranda IM, I believe both can connect to the MSN network, and both are already portable on this site

First of all, you should read the guidelines first before posting, like it says.
Ok, the main problem with both apps are that both are not open-source. Therefore, John legally cannot make portable versions because he cannot modify them.
In short, the program has to be free AND open-source in order to work. If you have a U3 disk, XFire is on it. If you don't, you're gonna have to find other options.
XFire may be possible when John gets the freeware apps up.

Maybe, just maybe, we could contact the people who make xfire and offer to do a portable edition for them..
