Thunderbird 2.0 RC1

Dear John,

will there be a portable 2.0 RC1 release? Or do you plan to wait with the next TB2 pre-release till the 2.0 final came out?

I think,

me meant this bit

PLEASE do not request the latest version of your favorite software so soon after it is released. ("Hey did you know that the alpha/beta/new version of __________ just came out a couple of hours ago? When will you have it ready on this site?") John is updated on all of the software that he produces for this site probably even before the general public is.

Yours

Ah ok, may have overlooked

Ah ok, may have overlooked this passage - BUT I am not trying to press for something here. Just asking whether there will be a RC1 release at all...

Just swap the guts of TB Beta2 Portable

with the guts of TB RC1 after you have a regular install of RC1. This should work, since I used this trick to use TB Beta2 portably before John released TB Beta 2 in Portable form. (Basically I swapped the guts of TB Alpha Portable with the Beta)
