Monitoring autorun.inf

The latest version of PAP includes an option to monitor for autorun.inf changes (defaulted to enabled).

What are the advantages/disadvantages of enabling or disabling this?

On the surface, it seems like if you don't manually edit autorun.inf while you have PAP running, there is no reason not to disable this functionality, but maybe I'm not seeing the whole picture.

Simple Warning

It's a simple warning mechanism to let you know your autorun.inf on your removable drive changed since the last time you ran the platform. Some viruses and malware attempt to spread in this fashion.

One-time per run?

Thanks. So it's a one-time check each time the platform is executed?

Autorun.inf

Where can I disable the autorun.inf check? I have already customized the autorun.inf file with our logo and drive name before finding the portableapp platform.

Only Once

It'll only alert once per change. You can enable and disable it in Advanced.

Thanks John, I looked there

Thanks John, I looked there first and well, if it was a dog it would have bit me. My tired old eyes glossed right over it.

On another note, I think what you've created is FANTASTIC!
