I see you opened Text Editors section
there is nice open source text editor (with syntaxes highlights)

it doesnt need instalation, so its already portable Smile

Well, the lack of the need to install doesn't make something portable. N++ is already portable, as you said, so this thread is pointless.

PortableApps.com already has a text editor (and has had) in Beta testing for quite some time now. Go try it out, just search "SciTE Portable" on this site, and in the post by John T. Haller there will be a download link. I'm pretty sure that's that text editor he plans to release ebcasue he asked people wheather they'd prefer some kind of Notepad of SciTE, and he ended up doing SciTE.

You can use the existing one un PAM

Just create a directory under PortableApps on your USB drive and put Notepad++ in there. PAM will pick it up in the menu.

Under MISC Preferences, you will probably want to uncheck 'Remember the current session...'
