Notepad2 2.0.15

Notepad2 2.0.15 was just released. It now stores information in an INI file.

Should be very portable now! Wink

It is

The only drawback is that he removed NSIS syntax highlighting... Sad

I'm sure you can add it

I'm sure you can add it yourself into the notepad.ini file.

I didnt find anything there

But I mailed the author and he said I could recompile it and include NSIS highlighting...

Do you

know how to recompile it?
Or do you know someone to do it?
It would be too cool to have NSIS back on board...

I found another

text editor see here so for me it isn't necessary any more to have Notepad2.

Wrong version on website.

I downloaded Notepad2 2.0.15. However, when I extracted it, I discovered that the zip file still contained version 1.0.12.

I tried to send an e-mail to the author, but the contact link opens a compose box using a JavaScript window. In other words, it requires that a default e-mail client be set on my computer. Since I only use Thunderbird from my flash drive, I guess I can't tell him what's going on.

Uhmm

I downloaded the same file and I got version 2.0.15. I'll post an external link for the file and you can see if it is the right onefor you. I know for sure I have the newest version as I see the ini file with the app.

Sorry. My mistake.

I figured out what was going on. I had actually checked out Notepad2 a few days before, and that was part of the problem. Clearing Firefox's cache was enough to get the proper version of the file from the website.

Thanks anyway for the offer, though.
