I just finished my PokerTH 0.4Portable
It is a prerelease and my second app so it comes WITHOUT WARRANTY.

- include ini support (I dropped it cause it didn't work)
- hope for new versions (they have nice stuff on their to-do-list) 
- change readme from John's Sudoku-readme to the actual Poker TH readme
- it doesn't use the saved settings
- Copies files without /SILENT switch

I just wanted to check, I guess you used the .nsi script for Sudoku, and maybe it's folder structure to, cause the readme under the PokerTHPortableSource is all for Sudoku. You might wanna change it to accomadate PokerTH

I am working on a second prerelease which is supposed to fix the known bugs.
You may have noticed that it doesnt use your settings when you launch it the second time and IO cant figure out WHY???????
Can anyone help me in improving this nice little poker proggy?

Where did that new 7-Zip self-extracting installer thingy come from? Are you using NSIS somehow?
The splash screen is _MUCH_ nicer now. Looks very professional!
You say "now with ini support". Does that mean the game settings should be saved? If so, there's a bug 'cause the settings aren't being saved. I tried changing the default settings to only 5 players, and hitting the "ok" button which should save the settings and that didn't "stick" as it showed "7" as the default the next time I started the game.

Funny. Cause my version of A Note, it left settings under AppData, and I couldn't find any of John's apps that have it in their launcher to clean it up. So I checked out PokerTH, and saw it used that Application Data folder, so I used that backup settings stuff from your launcher, cause mine used that folder as well as the registry, and now all mine does is remember deleted notes, but it dletes the settings at least. I'm gonna release it for now, until I can find out how to make it use the settings on the device. But I'm glad it copies files silently, cause since I used part of your launcher for the new version of A Note, it wouldn't ccopy mine silently either. I hope you don't mind, I'm gonna use some of your new launcher, because I have to much trouble figuring it all out by myself, I'll put your name in the script. And anywhere else you'de like it?

I liked it and so I used it.
ini-support means you can rename the exe, disable the splashscreen...
It still doesn't save the settings, maybe it is something with the timing while copying the settings to the APPDATA folder...

I know this is problem with the app, because lol, as soon as I started it, the splash came up, then I got this message box:

That error is because I forgot to delete the settings before I packaged it. Just delete everything in the PokerTHPortable\Data\settings folder and it should work.
The ini youre talking about is not the ini to disable the splash screen and such, its the ini in the App/Appinfo folder. This ini is for the new menu and the entry you're talking about is so the menu knows which app to start (at least thats what I think it is).So it's right the way it is.

The program is kool but are you going to make pictures for the back of the cards able to support more than just png files on the released version?

But if you the feature is about that actual game then this isn't the place to ask, cause Simeon only made a portable version of PokerTH, not that actual game. But maybe what you're asking is about the portable version, I dunno, but it doesn't sound like it.
