PA run in Linux through a Windows partition

To streamline my backups, I don't want to have to dig into some program's folder to know exactly where my settings are when I do backups so I just backup 100% of everything as a portable app whenever I can. That's why I use PA on my windows hard drive.

I'm now using a Linux partition as well. Are there directions on how to use Wine in Linux to run Portable Apps that are installed on my Windows partition? Results are spotty when simply using Wine targeted to apps in the Windows partition while running Linux. XnView worked perfectly but Firefox would not work at all - and PA Firefox is something people regularly run when unpacking the PA version with Wine. In my case, of course, it is already unpacked and living on my Windows partition.

Doing web searches for this is difficult because everything in a search seems to be about how Wine works only on the Linux partition. I want to run it in Linux but from the app on the Windows partition where it is now.

That's my ideal workflow. Is this an impossible dream?
