Hi,
I have updated my IrfanView Portable rel 4.53 to rel. 4.57.
When I tried to change language from English to Italian program says:
--> Can't load language DLL!
I have browsed inside 'C:\PortableApps\IrfanViewPortable\App\IrfanView\Languages\'
and Italian language DLL are available (Italian.dll + Italian2.dll).
Then I have downloaded from www.irfanview.com\Languages the file 'italian.zip' and unzipped it inside subfolder \Languages
and program says
--> Can't load language DLL!
again.
Can You solve this ?

Looks like the publisher has an invalid italian dll. We always use the publisher posted ones. It's not something we can fix.

Try this: https://portableapps.com/downloads/temp/IrfanView456Italian.zip
It's the language files from their previous release. They might work.

BTW
The IrfanView Languages page is https://www.irfanview.com/languages.htm and this page says:
--> Available languages for version 4.57 and 4.56
this means that are no differences (for languages) between the two last builds.
That means it's compatible with both. But Italian was updated by the publisher after I packaged 4.56. The one that's failing in our 4.57 package is the one the publisher currently has available.

IrfanView author has wrote me an email that says that translator (bovirus) has updated the new italian DLL at 02-25-2021.
New italian DLL for IrfanView 4.57 works perfectly.

This archive must to be extracted in 'C:\PortableApps\IrfanViewPortable\App\IrfanView\Languages', but only the file 'italian.dll'.
I've added the fixed locale and released it as Rev 2.
