Updating

Since maybe 1-2 weeks after updating (and maybe after I once interrupted an update) and I want to terminate PortableApps it hangs with the message that UpdateService is still running and I have to terminate the program in the Task Manager.
Please advice.

  • Make a fresh installation of the Platform.
  • Move your installed apps directories', fonts, documents, etc. to their new location.
  • If necessary, move configuration files (.ini), one by one.

We have no such service. That would be an app of some sort. Are you perhaps running an older version of Opera Portable (The updater service was disabled due to bugs in current releases)?
