Keep splash screen longer visible

Hi,

I wonder if there is an easy way to keep the splash screen longer visible. On my slow laptop, there are about 30 seconds time between the disappearance of the splash screen and the start of FireFox. So when I don't look on the HDD led I don't know if there is still action going on. The perfect solution for me would be, if the splash screen disappears just when FireFox starts independent of the speed of the computer.
Another solution could be, that after the splash screen disappears, something else is shown on the screen.
I hope you get the point of my question and maybe someone can help me.

Progress bar

I think what you are looking for is a progress bar.

I think that is possible. Some others here might know how to do that.

Thanks for your comment. But

Thanks for your comment. But I just searched for an easy way and found it. I just modified the FirefoxPortable.nsi at line 299 so that the splash screen is shown a very very very long time. Then I changed line 510 to "newadvsplash::stop" so that at the end of the launcher the splash image is not shown any more. That's all I needed.

It is possible

to recompile the Launcher and make the splash screen to appear longer.
Just edit the script in \PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Other\FirefoxPortableSource and change line 299 (the Display Splash section).
I don't know which number you have to change, maybe someone else can help.
