when running PortableApps updater it fails with InvalidZipFilePossibleNoConnectionOrFirewall error.
Eager understanding to what URL/DNS/Hostname and port/protocol the updater function is connecting.
Looking forward to response

PortableApps updater fails with InvalidZipFilePossibleNoConnectionOrFirewall error
The updater uses standard http or https depending on the download using the standard ports via the Windows internet components. Ensure Windows is fully up to date and that Internet Explorer can properly connect to sites and downloads (only IE matters here as no other browser uses these, not even Edge). If it's still not working, drop a comment back with your OS version, 32 vs 64-bit, install path, and what app you're having an issue with and I'll see what we can figure out.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I can dowload http://portableapps.com/updater/update2.7z from Internet Explorer, but get same error.
The installed version is working on another spare machine, but not on the machine I am usually using with the app.
Windows 10 64bit rel 21H2
Portableapps 20.1
Any hint?
Thanks
m.
Do you have any kind of firewall, antimalware, etc installed on either your PC or between you and us? Anything that would alter your browser's referral string (setting it to a fake one will cause it to fail, for instance). Have you tried starting in safe mode with networking to see if it works then?

I'm not aware of any such issue. is there a way of create some log on updater to check what went wrong?
thank you
