There are some great free/open source apps I didn't found in PortableApps. I would be happy to see them.
1. Double Commander - open source multi-platform two-panel file manager (best replacement for Total Commander). There is official portable version.
2. XMedia Recode - free video and audio transcoding program. It can convert youtube weba-files (fre:ac in PortableApps can't). There is official portable version.
3. HandBrake - open-source transcoder for digital video files. There is official portable version.
4. FB Editor - free FB2 ebook editor.
5. TagScanner - free and powerful audio tag editor. There is official portable version.
6. Screamer Radio - free internet radio app.
7. STDU Viewer - VERY compact and useful free viewer for PDF, DjVu and other file formats. There is official portable version.
8. Audacious - crossplatform and open-source audio player

1. I know Q-Dir, but I don't like quad pane. Besides, I tryed a lot of multi pane managers, and Double Commander is the best. It has Total Commander plugins support and a bunch of special functions, such as searching text inside a group of text files of different formats, group renaming and other

7. I tryed Sumatra, but it was a long time ago... I think, I'll try to give it another chance.
8. Of course I know AIMP, Audacious is crossplatform and open-source and I guess works faster on old PCs.
3. ... but needs .Net. Don't know which version. Maybe with the upcoming support for .net, an official release is possible. It's simply THE BEST trans-/encoding GUI out there...
btw. many of these still linger around in the beta forum (mostly outdated versions, but sometimes you can test them by copying the updated app in the App\.... folder). Some had issues in the past. XMediaRecode f.i. broke the license of ffmpeg and therefore will obviously not become an official release here (besides from freezing on my computer on every second encoding run... :rolleyes: ).
