This might be a stupid question but I'm pretty new to FTPs and I really like this app. However, I was wondering if there is a way that I could connect to another computer and view it's files using an IP address or computer name...?

You can, if that computer is running an FTP server.
There are plenty of free ones for Linux and Windows. (There is a non-portable version of Filezilla server for Windows you could try.)
