The structure of the 'Mozilla' folder in %PROGRAMDATA% has changed. Now it adds some kind of GUID to its name, for example: Mozilla-d0636325-etc
Maybe you can take a look at this (if you haven't noticed it yet).
Have a nice day.

I can confirm the creation of this folder with the current Firefox Portable 98.0. I edited your GUID in the off chance it could be used for something nefarious. I'll need to look into this further.

Thanks!
This appears to be a change Mozilla made in Dec 2021.
The common directory was changed from C:\ProgramData\Mozilla to C:\Mozilla-1de4eec8-1241-4177-a864-e594e8d1fb38.
Note that this is not a personalized GUID, but rather the generic one in use by Mozilla.
See here for where I've confirmed this - I'm still trying to figure out why this change was made: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/e1442bbd4a7efa48c5caca6a788ea...
[EDIT] Found it - sort of. It has something to do with a security vulnerability (at least, that's the bug # associated with both the vulnerability and the changes I could find, but I don't have permission to see the bug information on bugzilla): https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2022-04/#CVE-2022-...
This is fixed with today's Firefox Portable update. Other channels will be updated in their next release. You can grab the launcher from current stable to update now if you'd like.

Hello,
Under Firefox 109 if "Clear history when Firefox closes" is ticked under the Privacy & Security panel and the History section, the folder "Mozilla-1de4eec8-1241-4177-a864-e594e8d1fb38" is not deleted upon Firefox exit : a file (something like : cache2.2023-01-25-12-11-57.purge.bg_rm-cachePurge-FirefoxPortable) is present and seems to prevent the deletion of the folder
I can confirm this with the current release. I have a fix implemented that will be included in the next release.

Thank you !
This new behavior is now handled in Firefox Portable 110.0
