I've thunderbird 2.0.0.3 (I think, but it's the most current on the web site), and when I copied my profile to my memory key, everything works OK, except my inbox (and any other email directories) didn't have current data. There was lots of emails, but nothing newer than October.
Looking at the profile(s) on the PC, the dates on the files & directories correspond with the October date of the last email I see.
I searched the entire PC, and didn't find any other 'inbox' stuff other than in the profile directory.
Then I did a data search for a particular word in a recent email, and found nothing.............
Does anyone know where Thunderbird 2.x puts it's data (and obviosly how to transfer it to portable)?????
Everything should be in the profile.
C:Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\default.???\
Here are specific instructions.
https://portableapps.com/support/thunderbird_portable#local_profile
If you have them on your local install still, then you should be able to copy it over.

you don't understand............the files are indeed there, but there's nothing later than October!
So, the files must be somewhere else........I detailed my search to find them in the initial request for help, and they don't appear to be there, hence the request!
As far as I can tell you are looking in the right spot.
