I see you are starting to ask questions on this forum about Thunderbird and Firefox that really don't have anything to with those apps being portable. For such questions you would be better going to http://forums.mozillazine.org/index.php and asking there. You will have a much better chance at getting your queries answered there than you will have here.
Do keep in mind that Thunderbird Portable, and other apps packaged by PortableApps, have no alterations made to them at the application level. PortableApps just packages them in such a way that the apps are made portable -- they do not alter the code of the apps themselves in any way at all. The main difference for the likes of Thunderbird and Firefox is the location of the Profile -- other than that there is no difference in the apps themselves.
Use Portable Apps on both Flash Drive and HDD/SSD.
But in my downloaded thunderbird portable app, some files are different. When I compare the entire file list of these two TB apps. And that's probably why the TB official support video tutorial for migrating (the entire folder) the classic TB app from PC to PC doesn't work for me! The classic TB was NOT properly IMPORTED into the portable TB, only a small part.
