After upgrade to v100 FFportable not usable any more! Retrieve Bookmarks?

I used Firefox Portable (from PortableApps) a long time without problems.
I setup automatic updates.

So my FF updated automatically from v99 to v100.

When I started this new version an error popup appears;

Error: Platform version '100.0' is not compatible with
minVersion >= 99.0.1
maxVersion <= 99.0.1

and rejects to proceed with start.

This is a bug.
I guess its because FF does not understand a 3-digit version number

Ok, I expect that Firefox PortableApps will be fixed.

But there is another problem:

If I cannot start Firefox PortableApps v100 I cannot update to v100.fixed
And if I cannot update to v100.fixed then I cannot access all my previous bookmarks in Bookmark Manager.

My last backup is from 4 weeks ago.
In the meantime i collected approx 40 bookmarks.

How can I get them now?
v100 is corrupt and not updatable

Upgrade the portable app

If you've only been letting Firefox update itself for a while, some bits are likely out of date. Or Firefox itself had a failed update due to locked files. Either way, you can remedy this with a standalone portable app upgrade: https://portableapps.com/support/portable_app#upgrading

This is how the PortableApps.com Platform updates apps. If you use FF Portable standalone, you should do an upgrade like this regularly to ensure you get updates to Firefox Portable and not just the copy of Firefox contained within. FirefoxPortable.exe is improved regularly but is not updated by Firefox updating itself.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

@John T.Haller:

This problem is that with installing my standalone Firefox new from scratch I will loose all my previous settings.
And for Firefox there are quite a lot

Is there any chance to save/migrate them to the new Firefox Portable installation?

Noobish suggestions

Firstly, as a Portable App, you may back it up.
Then you may try some tests like installing older versions, deleting all the folder except the Data one, etc.
